Hi, Does anyone know just where the Klondike Cemetery is..I was told it was
in Jefferson and if that is so---where in Jefferson??I was raised there and
cannot remember any cemeteries. Have relatives in this cemetery and am very
interested.. It must be fairly small Thanks to all of you knowledgable people!!!!
Researching--HASKINS, WRIGHT, HUBBARD, CLAWSON.
Answer: Bethel Cemetary, aka Klondike Cemetary, located in Rock Island Township,
eight miles west, four miles south, one mile east, and one-half mile north
from the junction of US highway 81 and State Highway 11 in Medford. The last
one half mile to the cemetary is along a plowed field and is not a very good
dirt road. The cemetary was fenced, yet found in a overgrown condition. Markers
are visible from the approaching roadway.

Can anyone tell me the location of a town in OK called Estelle in the year
1904? My great grandfather, William Perry HOBSON died on 8 Feb. 1904. His
obituary which appeared in the Pratt County Republican newspaper located
in Pratt, KS says that he died in Estelle, OK apparently while visiting other
relatives with the same last name of HOBSON. I'm trying to find out more
about his death and who he was visiting. Since his funeral was held in Pratt
just 2 days later, Estelle must have been fairly close to Pratt. If that
is the case, then Estelle must have been in either Woods, Major, Grant, or
Alfalfa counties. However, Estelle no longer appears on current maps. There
is an Estella that is in Craig County in eastern OK, but that would appear
to have been too far away. Thanks,

Am inquiring about ALLENS and McGUINNS in Alfalfa and Grant Counties. William
Martin ALLEN was in the 1893 Land Rush and homesteaded Northeast of Jet.
His son, Clifford Dale ALLEN, my father, went to high school in Enid. He
and his brother, William Henry ALLEN, joined the Navy at the beginning of
WW II in 1917. Their mother, Emma Alice Howe ALLEN stayed on the family farm
until about 1920 when she moved to San Diego, California about 1920. The
McGUINNS were related by marriage to the ALLENS.
