Betty Lou Jones

Betty Lou Jones (Hardridge) passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was born on February 1, 1935 in Kellyville, OK. to Tom and Lola (Folsom) Hardridge. She was a retired Silk Screener.

She married David Jones on May 9, 1953. She loved singing and loved her church. She was involved in the United Methodist Women Of Pickett Chapel. She was known for her fry bread. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved and respected by her church family and the community. She was a true witness of her faith.

She was preceded in death by her children, Sandra Kay Polk, Robert Jones, and Carol Sue Jones; parents, Tom and Lola Hardridge; brothers, Tom Hardridge, Jr. and Sonny Hardridge; sister, Shirley Brown; grandchildren, Isaac Watashe, Kenai Tanner, and David Lee Jones.

She is survived by her husband David Jones of the home; children, Darrell Ray Jones of the home, Jennifer Olguin and husband Danny of Ft. Worth, TX., Judith Olguin of Ft. Worth, TX., Tresa Ann Bynum of Ft. Worth, TX., and William Lee Polk of the home; 22 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bea Buckley of Kellyville, OK., Helen Jones of Ft. Worth, TX., Bobbie Tiger of Kellyville, OK., Christine Johnson of Kellyville, OK.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Pickett Chapel Church, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Pickett Chapel, Sapulpa, OK. Officiating will be the Reverends Bernadine A. Dowdy and Bill Foote. Bearers will be Chris Jones, Travis Jones, Dakota Jones, Danny Olguin, Jr., Jesse Olguin, Ruben Olguin. Honorary bearers will be Danny Olguin, Pedro Martinez, Alex Monreal and Frank Arellano.

Interment to follow at Hardridge Family Cemetery, Kellyville, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK.
