Dempsey W. Shelton passed away from this life on April 16, 2010 at the age of 83. He resided in Kellyville, Okla. and was born on January 3, 1927 to Alfred and Lillie Shelton.

Dempsey W. Shelton is survived by son, Dempsey Lee Shelton, grandchildren, Lindsey Shelton, Todd Shelton and wife, Shilo; and Kimberly Shelton; as well as two great-grandchildren, Donovan Jackson Shelton and Preston Todd Shelton.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia L. Shelton, son, Jack Dempsey Shelton, siblings Paul Shelton, Junior Shelton and Pauline Pittman.

He was retired from McDonnell-Douglas and also owned and operated Shelton Oil. He loved his trips to Las Vegas with his wife and playing at the local casinos. He will be dearly missed by all.

Services to be held at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Officiating will be the Reverend Mike Doudican. Bearers will be Carl Hampton, Bud Hampton, Rodney Crall, Randy Crall, Ricky Crall and Jim Crall. Interment will follow at Kellyville Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
