MERRITT W. ZINN, SPANISH WAR VET DIES HERE TODAY

Merritt W. Zinn, 67-year-old Spanish-American war veteran, died at his home, 6 West McKinley, early this morning after a long illness. He was a member of the Fitzhugh Lee camp, No. 16 of Tulsa.

Mr. Zinn lived in and around Sapulpa for the past 35 years and was associated with the transfer and taxi business during past years.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church Monday afternoon at 4 oclock [sic] with the pastor Dr. P. J. Conkwright, in charge of the services.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery. The Spanish-American veterans post at Tulsa will conduct military rites at the cemetery.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sina; four daughters, Mrs. Cora Decker of Scott City, Kansas, Mrs. Julia Kelly of Mobeetie, Texas; Mrs. D. Ashmore of Sapulpa, and Mrs. Clyde H. Smith of Tulsa; two sons, Earl Zinn of Scott city; and four grandchildren.

The Harrison funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
