BRISTOW - Earnest Yowell, 64, of 317 Cloud, Bristow, died Thursday at his home.

Prayer services are scheduled for 7 pm Monday in Smith Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday in Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Jonas Partridge and Thomas Long officiating.

Mr. Yowell was born Sep 26, 1926, in Memphis, Texas. He had worked for the American Can Co. for 12 years before retiring in 1980.

He had lived in Bristow for 4 ½ years after moving there from Okmulgee. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include wife Cilla; son Michael Gene Hammar of Atwater, Calif.; brothers Rex Yowell of Houston, Texas, and Carl Yowell of Ft Baden, Texas; sister Norma Lee Graham of Skiatook; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 1100 S. Park the day of the funeral.

Funeral services for Earnest L. Yowell were held today at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Jonas Partridge and Thomas Long officiating.

Burial followed in South Heights Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Terry Lunsford, Leon Smith, Cecil Tiger, Dwight Pickering, Ronald Hill, Leo Wolfe, Paul Tiger, Mark Bowman and Russell Hill.

Honorary bearers were Tom Tiger, Raymond Chockley, John W. Brown, Henry Brown, Robert Tiger, Tim Brown, Bill Gibson, Kenneth Tiger, Butch Douglas, Jimmy Gibson, Darrell Tiger, Kevin Tiger, W.C. Tiger, Luther Tiger, Arnold Gibson and Howard Holloway Jr.
