Ernest Dale Wood, 79, 14671 South Birch, Glenpool, died Monday in Tulsa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, at First Baptist Church of
Glenpool with Rev. Charles Storey officiating.
Burial will follow at Lenna Cemetery at Eufaula under the direction of Owen
Funeral Home.
He was born September 25, 1913, to William and Hattie McTigret Wood in Henryetta.
He married Ocie Hunter on May 19, 1967 in California. He was a retired farmer
and a cotton gin manager in Arizona. He resided in Glenpool for 19 years, moving
from Arizona. He attended the Baptist Church and was a member of the Baptist
Church of Lenna.
Survivors include his wife, Ocie; sons, Troy of Missouri, Paul of New Mexico,
Jack of Sapulpa, Ernest and Freddie of Los Angeles, Calif., Vernon of Iowa;
daughters, Eva Sue Toney of Iowa, Patricia Kough of Arizona, Diane White of
Arizona, Joyce House of Arizona; step-son, Jerry young of Eufaula;
step-daughter, Loretta Wood of Sand Springs; brothers, Kenneth Wood of Henryetta
and Paul Wood of Lyon, Oregon; thirty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandhcildren.
The family will headquarter at 14671 South Birch in Glenpool.
