The death certificate states Minnie died of a heart attack due to heart disease (Fatty Degeneration of the Heart). One of her daughters, Agnes I think, said Minnie had suffered a previous heart attack and had predicted: "If I ever have another one of those, it'll kill me." This is born out in the doctor's statement on the death certificate that her heart attack was due to heart disease. Perhaps he had treated her previously.

A cousin remembers her funeral and tells me she was buried in a pink dress. Minnie's tombstone reads: "Rest mother rest in quiet sleep while friends in sorrow for thee weep."

In addition to two married children, Minnie left eight orphaned children, five of whom (including my father who had just turned three when his mother died) went to the Sand Springs Home.
