John Earl Wilson, 64, 700 Mesa Rd., died Tuesday at Saint John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday at South Heights Assembly of God with Pastor Ertis Johnson and Elder Robert Rider officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born Aug 2, 1927, in McAlester, and moved to Sapulpa 50 years ago. He served in the ground Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed as a shipping inspector for McDonnell Douglas and retired after 25 years on Aug 30, 1991.

He married Nell L. Wilson on April 4, 1963, in Sapulpa. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He received the prestigious Eagle award from McDonnell-Douglas for outstanding service and conduct.

Survivors include wife, Nell; mother Nettie Wilson of Sapulpa; daughters Sandy Wilson of Broken Arrow and Gail Stafford of Garber; stepsons Terry Russell of Sapulpa, Randy Russell of Orange Beach, Mo., and Rick Russell of Tulsa; sisters Eunetta Heath of El Reno and Virginia Scott and Earldean Billings, both of Sapulpa; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Robert Milstead, Randy Adair, Doug Rowe, Ron Johnston, Maurice Striplin and Marion Underwood.

Honorary bearers were Travis Belk, Glenn Belk, Mike Naud, Robert Wilson, Dee Jone, Bill Keef, James Bradford and Richard Tankersley.
