TAHLEQUAH - Former Sapulpan Mr. Garfield E. Wilson, 821, of Tahlequah died Sunday in Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday in the Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel, Tahlequah.

Burial is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday in the Dripping Springs Cemetery, Noble, Okla.

Mr. Wilson was born March 27, 1905, in Altus, Ark. He grew up in Sapulpa and was one of the first Sapulpa Herald newspaper carriers. He moved to Tahlequah in 1980.

He married Wenonah Hunter June 1, 1929, in Seminole, Okla., and worked as an oilfield driller until he retired in 1963.

Survivors include wife Wenonah; son Douglas of Noble; daughter Colleen Wilson of Salinas, Calif; brother William of Tulsa; and four grandchildren.
