Arthur David Wilson, 82, Mounds, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services were today at the First Baptist Church of Mounds with the Rev. Jim Ray officiating.

Burial was at Mounds City Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Ralph Greer, Jim Greer, Sterling Herring, Ed Smith, Bill Cumbey and Howard Harrington. Honorary bearers were Engle Sturman and Dale Newman.

Mr. Wilson was a farmer/teacher for the Howard Harrington Ranch since 1978. He moved to Mounds from Plato, Mo., and lived here most of his life.

He married Velma Maxey on Dec. 23, 1928, in Mounds.

Survivors include wife Velma; daughters Betty Burt of Mounds and Darlene Magner of Muskogee; brothers Raymond Wilson of Sapulpa and Herbert Wilson of Mounds; sisters Lola Roller and Edith Howard, both of Mounds; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 202 E. 17th street in Mounds.

MOUNDS - Funeral services for Arthur David Wilson were Monday at the Mounds First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Ray officiating.

Burial was at Mounds City Cemetery, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson, a longtime Mounds area resident, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center, following an extended illness.
