Nilon Whittendon, 79, 1309 Colleen Drive, died Tuesday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in South Heights Cemetery with Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

She was born April 30, 1912, in Bass, Ark., and moved to Sapulpa from Bixby in 1952. She married Henry Whittendon on March 17, 1964, in Miami. Mrs. Whittendon was a housewife and mother and worked for Liberty Glass for 15 years. She was a Methodist and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by son Bill Rosamond.

Survivors include husband Henry; son William Rosamond of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter Jane Wright of Tulsa; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home, 1309 Colleen Drive, Sapulpa.
