Updated: 06 Sep 2009 HUEY VAUGHN Heuy Vaughn, 83, 310 W. Taft, Sapulpa, died today at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Slagle and Rev. Daniel Keohane officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. He was born Oct 18, 1909, in Summerset, Ky. A resident of Sapulpa for four years, he moved from Detroit, Mich., where he retired from the J. L. Hudson Company. He was a member of the Baptist affiliation. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Christine EVE. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Betty TUCKER of Sapulpa, Jean SLAGLE of Gate City, Va., Billie WHITE of Lexington, Ky., and Jeanetta CHOWNING of Arlington, Tex.; two step-daughters, Mary LAMB of Royal Oak, Mich., and Janette SAVAGE of Alabama; sisters, Zula KEENEY of Summerset, Ky., and Mae MOUNCE of Louisville, Ky.; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. |
