Elmer L. Tyer, 77, 905 N. Ross, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are 10:30 am Tuesday at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Military rites will be performed by the Sapulpa Veteran's Organizations and the casket will not be opened at the service.

He was born March 19, 1913 in Redland. Mr. Tyer served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a lifetime member of the Sapulpa D.A.V.

He was a Baptist and lived most of his life in Sapulpa.

Survivors include wife June of the home; son Tony Tyer of Broken Arrow; daughter Sandra Bowman of Sapulpa; brother Matthew Tyer of Dewey; sister Margaret White of Hurst, Texas; and five grandchildren.
