Edward Dean Thornburg, 50, 115 East Burnharm, Sapulpa, died Monday in Sapulpa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday, at South Heights Chapel with Rev. Al Castleberry officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery [see below] under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. Full military rites will be given by the Sapulpa Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter.

He was born Jan 15, 1942, in Sapulpa to Wallace Dean and Mary Little Dean.

He was formerly a machinist at Patty Precision Products in Kellyville. He married Mary Joe Castleberry on May 8, 1960, in Sapulpa. He attended the Baptist church and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo; mother, Mary Frances Smith and step-father, Joseph O. Smith; son Eddie Dean Thornburg, Tulsa; daughters, Carol Jo Whiteman, and Barbara Louis Copeland of Fort Worth, Texas; and nine grandchildren. 

The family will headquarter at 115 East Burnham.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday, at Green Hills Memorial Garden Chapel with Rev. Al Castleberry officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. Full military rites will be given by the Sapulpa Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter.
