Mrs. Helen Thompson, a long time Bristow resident, died Sunday morning in Houston, Tex., while visiting in the home of a daughter, Mrs. C. C. Armstrong. She had recently suffered a stroke.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dunaway Funeral home with the Reverend Clifford Funk officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery with Dunaway Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson, who came to Oklahoma before statehood, was a native of Tennessee. Her husband, the late John Edward Thompson, long-time Bristow area farmer, died here in 1938. She was a member of the Nazarene church.

Survivors are four sons, Justin E. Thompson, Tulsa; Haskell and E. L. Thompson, Sand Springs, and I.B. Thompson, Indigo, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Armstrong of Houston, and Mrs. Marvin Dammon, Abaecon, N.J.; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
