Bristow – Mr. Luther Jeff Taylor, 68, of Bristow, died Friday at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born October 12, 1918 in Hardy, Arkansas, he moved to Bristow as a young child and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Taylor retired from American General Life Insurance after 15 years. He also worked for Lincoln Income Life Insurance Company for 13 years.

A US Army Infantry veteran of World War II, he was a member of V.F.W. Post 3656 and the American Legion. He married Willa Mae Miller on November 16, 1946 in Van Buren, Arkansas

Survivors include his wife, Willa of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Linda Bailey, Mrs. Kathy Wolcott and Mrs. Barbara McSpadden, all of Bristow; two brothers B. N. Taylor of Sapulpa, and Plez Taylor of Clearfield, Utah; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hutchins-Maples Funeral Chapel in Bristow with Bill Conkling of the Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in the Bristow City Cemetery.

Memorials have been designated to the Brass Ring Society in Tulsa.
