Herbert L. Tanner, Sr., a Sapulpa resident died Thursday at his home.

His funeral was at 4 p.m. Saturday at the South Heights Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Willard Lemons officiating. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Granby, MO. Tanner was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired truck driver and a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Herbert L. Tanner, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; daughters Cheri Tanner of Sapulpa and Saundra Sue Vigars of Tulsa and three grandchildren.
