Joan Stice of Mounds died Monday, March 11, 2002, at the age of 73.

Joan was born Aug. 26, 1928 in Slick and had lived in this area most all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Glenwood Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Stice, and her parents.

Survivors are her children, Novia L. Stice III of Tulsa, Mary Ann Young and her husband, Gary, of Sapulpa and Melissa Reed and her husband, Scott, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Kimberly, David and Mallory; brothers and sisters, Norman Hill of Bakersfield, Calif., Lois Beeman, Pat Miller, Mary Jordan, Ben Hill and J.C. Hill, all of Sapulpa, and the Rev. Tom Ed Hill of Tulsa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stice have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, in the Glenwood Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rick McElhannon officiating.

Interment will follow in Duck Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casketbearers will be David Slater, James Slater, Tom Hill, Jr., Ben W Hill, Vernon Stice and Dale Stice.

Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa is in charge of arrangements.
