Donald Kenneth Simmons Sr., 55, of Sapulpa, died Monday at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services will be 10 am Friday at Glenwood Assembly of God with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Simmons was born Dec 5, 1935, in Barnsdall. He moved to Sapulpa in 1958. He was the manager for Benson Lumber Co. For three years; worked for Sapulpa Redi Mix Concrete for eight years; and owned Simmons Construction Company for 21 years. He was a member of Glenwood Assembly of God.

Survivors include wife, Barbara; mother Hazel Couffer of Hominy; sons Donald K. Simmons Jr., Dennis Keith and Dale Kurt, all of Sapulpa; sister Ruby Bryant of Pawhuska; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations be made to Glenwood Assembly of God.

The family will headquarter at 109 S. Birch.

Funeral services for Donald Kenneth Simmons were held today at Glenwood Assembly of God with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.

Burial followed in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Richard Reynolds, John Bauer, Fred Russell, Jim Jordan, Mike Cox, James Robbins, Charles Warren and Clifford Fitzgerald.

Honorary bearers were Bill Shanks, Calvin Brannon, Robert Yocham, Tom Rogers, Jim Wesson, Tom Goodman, Tom Freeman, Jim McCaskey and Dwight Maulding.
