Rosemary (Vance) Sharp, sister of Bob Vance of Sapulpa, died May 18, at her home in Vinita. She was 69.

Mrs. Sharp was born March 18, 1923 in Jenks. She taught school in Vinita, Dewey and Big Cabin, retiring in 1985 after 27 years in Vinita schools.

She was an elder and deacon in the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Association of University Women, the Oklahoma Education Association, the Vinita Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Home of Hope Human Rights Committee.

Survivors include husband Merlin of the home, son Jim Sharp of Vinita, daughter Lou Ann Sanders of Tulsa, mother Luevenia Vance of Vinita, sister Cathy Holland of Tulsa, brothers Nick, Tom and John Vance, all of Tulsa, Bob Vance of Sapulpa and Gene Vance of Dallas, Texas, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday at Vinita Pilgrim Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Pat Sibley officiating.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Buckhalter.
