Delmar Sharp, 87, 703 S. Hickory, died Saturday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Sharp was born May 25, 1902, in Coalgate, Indian Territory, and moved to Sapulpa from Bartlesville in 1939. He married Mary Bee Gerard on June 2, 1929, in Eufaula, Okla.

Survivors include wife Bee Sharp of the home; daughter Mrs. Curt (Kay) Edgerton of Pittsburgh, Penn; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

He was the manager of the Sapulpa J.C. Penney’s store for 33 years and after retiring worked at Morton’s Department Store.

Mr. Sharp was a member and elder of the first Presbyterian Church, member and past-president of Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce and member of the Sapulpa Rotary Club, Sapulpa Art Guild, Salvation Army Board and the Sapulpa Banjo Band.

Services will be 2 pm Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Thomas P. Eggebeen officiating.

Entombment will be at Green Hills Mausoleum, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
