Audyne E. Self, 70, died Wednesday in Kansas.

Graveside services are to be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home. Visitation is to be Saturday until 9 p.m. at Schumacher Funeral Home in Bristow.

The Self family will receive friends today between 7 and 9 p.m. at Edwards-Yorgenson-Melon Funeral Home in Manhattan, KS.

Self was born in Creek County, the daughter of William and Jicy Osborne Suttenfuss. Self and her husband, Huber Self, resided in Manhattan since 1947. She attended Kansas State University and received a teaching certificate. She taught school for three years before becoming the executive secretary for the department of anatomy and physiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine. She was employed at Kansas State University for 33 years and traveled extensively during her retirement.

Self is survived by her husband; daughter Stormy Lee Kennedy of Manhattan; stepson Dan Self; stepdaughters Doris Connely and Marilyn Papez.

A memorial fund has been established for KSU Foundation, for the Center for Basic Cancer Research, to left in care of Edwards-Yorgenson-Melon Funeral Home.
