TULSA - Jack L. Sappington, 77, 2319 W. Easton Pl., died Sunday at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday at Oliver Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Bass officiating.

Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Sappington was born Aug 1, 1914, in Okmulgee. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. A resident of this area since 1959, he was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and had been employed for the S.O.S. Company as a stationery engineer.

Survivors include wife, Delores; son Jerry Sappington of Honolulu; daughters Jackie Pearce of Spring, Texas, and Judy Hamilton of Mannford; sister Lena Slinger of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jack L. Sappington were held today at Oliver Baptist Church, Tulsa, with the Rev. Steve Bass officiating.

Burial followed at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Cliff Stewart, Bruce Fralin, Stanley Wimmer, Carrol Shelton, Jimmy Arndt and Lloyd Patterson.
