Vella Dee (Banks) Sanders, 66, 1021 S. Park, died Sunday at her home.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Wednesday at South
Heights Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.
She was born April 25, 1924, in Chandler, and lived in Sapulpa after moving here
from Candler in 1949.
Mrs. Sanders was a cafeteria employee for Sapulpa Public Schools until her
retirement. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny D. Banks.
Survivors include sons Jerry Banks and Terry Banks, both of Sapulpa; daughter
Debbie Clark of Sapulpa; brothers Elvin Stice of Abilene, TX and Clen Stice of
Slick; sister June Sutherland of Midland, TX; five grandchildren; one
step-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.
The family will headquarter at the Jerry Banks residence west of Sapulpa the day
of the service.
