Andrew David Ruth, 79, of Sapulpa, died Monday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday, at Allen Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Bilby officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 21, 1913, in Waldron, AR. Ruth, a longtime area resident, was a retired machinist and employee of the Frisco Railroad. He was a member of the Allen Free Will Baptist Church where he served as an elder and a teacher of the Men's Bible Class.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Phillip.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Mildred; son, Richard of Riverside, CA; daughters, Delores Conway and Dorothy Mattimore, both of Sapulpa; sisters, Dovie West, Mary Gatts, and Willa Mae Sweeden, all of Sapulpa, Rosie Smay of California; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Serving as casket bearers were Roy Bryan, Lionel Bilby, Wyeth White, Clyde White, Carl Galloway and Dean Hudgins.

Honorary casket bearers were members of the Men's Bible Class.
