With the recent death of Flora Lee Ross (above) another native Oklahoman and
descendant of the state's Indian pioneers passed from the current scene.
Born at historic Fort Gibson, Miss Ross was a descendent of Chief John Ross
of the Cherokees and a distant relative of the late Will Rogers. She made her
home in Sapulpa for more than 40 years.
