Updated: 06 Sep 2009 RECTOR, Stella M.Sapulpa Herald, Creek Co., OK 09-15-1987 Mrs. Stella M. Rector, 92, Sapulpa, died Monday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2 pm Thursday at Fairview Cemetery, Shawnee, Okla., with the Rev. Joe C. Knowles officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral home. She was born March 4, 1895, in San Angelo, Texas, and was a Sapulpa resident since 1942. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Rector was preceded in death by a son, Harold. Survivors include son Thomas of Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughter Mrs. J. O. (Sue) Stroud of Sapulpa; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will be headquartered at 119 W. Bryan.
