RICHMOND HILLS, Ga. – Former Sapulpan Mr. Thomas C. Powers of Richmond Hills, Ga., died Sunday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Richmond Hills.

Services are scheduled for 3 pm Tuesday at Southside Assembly of God, Savannah, Ga., with Terry Massey Funeral Home, Garden City, Ga., in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan 5, 1931, in Sapulpa.

Mr. Powers owned Powers Enterprises, Corp., and Albercorn Housing Center.

He graduated from Creighton University and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel after 30 years. Powers also served as an inspector general and was stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.

Survivors include wife Patsy; daughter Teresa Moore of Savannah; brother Robert Powers of Sapulpa; sisters Pat Taylor of Sapulpa and Pauline Walker of Tulsa; and one grandchild.
