Lena Nancy Pounds of Sapulpa, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at the Ranch Terrace Nursing Home. She was 93.

Mrs. Pounds was born Aug 10, 1903, Shady Point, Okla. and had lived in Sapulpa since 1947.

She was a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors are three daughters, Marie BARRETT of Casper, WY, Naomi WRIGHT of Sapulpa, and Edna BOGGS of Sapulpa; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pounds have been set for 2pm on Saturday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Millard McGuire and Gene Melton officiating.

Interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Pounds was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Pounds in 1970, and one son, Fred Pounds in 1996.

The family will headquarter at the Boggs residence, 1003 S. Park.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
