WATSONVILLE, Calif. ­ Mr. Otto Piper, 71, of Watsonville and a former Sapulpa, died Friday in Watsonville Community Hospital.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Davis Memorial Chapel, Watsonville, with the Revs. Harvey Both and Skip Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Watsonville.

Mr. Piper was born April 16, 1917, in Sapulpa. He lived in Sapulpa until 1944 when he moved to California.

Mr. Piper was employed as a construction worker and a truck driver.

Survivors include wife Evelyn of Watsonville; step-daughter Martha Haggey Bull of Watsonville, son Ron of Watsonville; brother Julius of Nashville, Tenn.; sister Irene Rush of Watsonville; step-brother Arley Beck of Watsonville; aunts Mrs. Arthur O’Shields, Mrs. H. O. O’Shields and Mrs. Effie Hulsey, all of Sapulpa; one grandson; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
