Mattie Tapp Paige, 94, of Kingfisher, died Saturday.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, at Flipper Chapel AME Church with Rev. Bobby Green officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Jack's Memory Chapel of Tulsa.

She was born Feb. 21, 1899, to Joseph Tapp and Nannie Farmer Tapp in Corydon, Ken. She moved with her parents to Dover, and attended Green-Grove School. She united with St. Paul AME Church at an early age. She later moved to Sapulpa and married Floyed E. Paige in 1934. She joined the Flipper Chapel AME Church where she was a stewardess and missionary treasurer. She was active in voluntary services and The Salvation Army. She was an employee of Lon T. Jackson for many years. A resident of Sapulpa for many years, she became a resident of First Shamrock Care Center in Kingfisher.

She was preceded in death by her husband parents, sisters, and brothers.

Survivors include two nephews, Robert Tapp of Sand Springs, and Wesley Dwight Caldwell of Dover; nieces, Hazel Williams of Dover, Eleanor Vivian Buford of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mildred Morgran of Huntington Park, Calif.; nineteen great-nieces and nephews; forty-one great-great nieces and nephews; and twelve great-great-great nieces and nephews.
