Donald James McGuire of Velma Oklahoma died Monday May 20, 2002 at Mercy Memorial Center in Ardmore Oklahoma at the age of 78 yrs.

Mr. McGuire was born Feb 22, 1924 in Kellyville, Oklahoma. He was a member of the pipe fitters local Union # 430. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War 11.

He is was preceded death by parents James Clarence McGuire and Ruby Fay Campbell McGuire. 

Survivors are his two sons, Donnie L McGuire of Victorville California and Gary D. McGuire of Taylorsville, ILL. and two daughters, Mary H. Stalans of McLeansboro, Ill and Donna Lynn Fairchild of Eufaula, Oklahoma. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grand children. One brother William (Bill) McGuire of Velma, Okla.

Funeral services have been set for 2 pm on Friday, May 24, 2002 in The West Side Free Will Baptist Church with Rev: Millard McGuire officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
