Earshel M. Lyons, 74, Mounds, died Saturday, March 18, 1995 at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Will Dane officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Bixby.

He was a retired electrical worker and service in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Anna, of the home; six sons, Richard Lyons and Kenneth Lyons, both of Sapulpa, Leon Lyons, Clearview, Roy Lyons, Winslow, AR, Patrick Lyons, Brentwood, AR, and Lloyd Lyons, Fayetteville, AR; three daughters, Olivia Ferreiro, Mounds, Carol Haubert, Sapulpa, and Toyna Lyons, Fayetteville; a brother, Samuel Lyons, Sapulpa; 33 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Lyons and Wayne Lyons.

Casket bearers will be Bill Tuttle, Butch Douglas, Chester McCord, Mike Haubert, George Wahl and Joe Johnson. Honorary bearers will be George Russell and Dee Ausmus, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
