Paul Pearson Langford, 78, of Sapulpa, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services will be 2 pm Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating and the Rev. Alvin Hedin assisting.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Don Cross Gerald Hargrove, Raymond Ellis, Grover James, Jim McReynolds and Mack Eaton. Members of First Baptist Church will serve as honorary bearers.

Mr. Langford was born Dec 7, 1911, in Greenland, Ark. He was employed by the Sapulpa Herald for 30 years before moving to Crane, Mo., where he purchased the Crane Chronicle.

He returned to Sapulpa five years after purchasing the newspaper and was a co-owner of Harmony-Woodruff, Inc., before retiring two years ago.

He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as church treasurer and deacon for many years, and was also a member of Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include wife Beatrice and many nieces and nephews.

The family will headquarter at 820 Ridge Road.

Funeral services for Paul Langford were Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. T. Howard Allen and Alvin Hedin officiating.
