Mrs. Eugene (Byrda) Kuykendall, 89, 200 N. Division, died Friday at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Houchin officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born March 19, 1902, in Sallisaw, and graduated from Northeastern State Teachers College. She also did graduate work at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa.

Mr. Kuykendall was a Sapulpa resident for 57 years and retired from Sapulpa Public Schools. She was a member of the OEA, NEA, Okie Campers, Bridge Club, Sapulpa Historical Society, Women’s Chamber of Commerce, VFW auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Children Psychology Club, Kappa Kappa Lota, Bartlett Hospital Auxiliary and First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene.

Survivors include daughters Wahllel Lee of Tulsa, Stella Faye Dobson of Sapulpa and Janis Kaye Webb of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister Gertrude Garvin of Sallisaw; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

BYRDA KUYKENDALL

Funeral services for Byrda Kuykendall will be held at 10 am Monday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Houchin officiating.

Burial will follow in South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Archie Sechrest, Lonnie Sechrest, Ron Martin, Troy Miller, Mark Tucker and Derv Folger.
