Ernest C. Knight, 71, 118 E. Ross, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical
Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday at South Heights Baptist church with
the Rev. Archie Rivers presiding.
Burial will follow in Green Hills
Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Knight was born Sep 28, 1919, in Brameit, Ark. He has been a Sapulpa resident 51
years. A retired mechanic for Tulsa Truck Rental, he was an Army veteran of
World War II. He was a member and deacon of South Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Rena; son Ronald Knight of St. Helens, Ore.;
daughters Bettie Johnson of Sapulpa and Barbara Collums of Wilburton; sisters
Jewel Wright of Norman and Lois Cooper of Guthrie; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ernest Knight are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at South
Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Archie Rivers officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith
Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be John Nation, Kenneth Foster, Herbert Humble, Paul Canner,
Robert Goodman and Halbert Channell
Mr. Knight’s body will lie in state at the funeral home until 8:30 am Tuesday,
and the casket will not be opened at the service.
