Danny Wayne Kirk was born June 23, 1940 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Thad T. Kirk and Verlys McGuire Kirk. He went to be with the Lord February 1, 2008. Danny was a 1958 graduate of Sapulpa High School. He worked for over 40 years at Madison Inc. where he retired as General Manager in 2006.

Danny is survived by his wife, Ruby J. Kirk of the home and three sons, Kevin Bruce Kirk of Glenpool, Robert Dean Kirk and wife Rhonda of Glenpool, and Brock Wayne Kirk and wife Debbie of Sapulpa; nine grandchildren Jason Bruce Kirk and Tammy of Sapulpa, Kristen Kirk and Thomas Kirk of Sapulpa, Jennifer Lynn Tinsley and Johnny of Atlanta, Georgia, Ryan Dean Kirk, Cheri’ Danielle Deaton and husband Bryan and Andrew Scott Kirk of Glenpool. Shawna Dicus of Tulsa and Spencer Wayne Kirk of Tulsa; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Kirk, Brinley Kirk, Jaiden Dicus and Jeremiah Valdes. He is also survived by one brother, Tommy Dale Kirk of Sapulpa and Sally Ann Kirk Wessel of Tulsa, and sisters and brothers-in-laws, Helen and Cecil Chance of Tulsa, OK and Asad and Donna Ahmed of Sapulpa; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends including his Elk family at Lodge #1118 and his Elk friends throughout the entire state. Danny is going to be missed by many but is now spending his time between trout fishing and that heavenly golf course and waiting to see us all.

Services will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, February 6th at First Baptist Church in Sapulpa, with the Reverend Doyle Pryor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville. The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to Smith Funeral Home.
