Garland R. Kelin, 69, 1910 S. Muskogee, Sapulpa, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Oldham officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born May 6, 1923, in Shawnee. A lifelong Sapulpa resident, he was a member of the Sapulpa Elks Lodge where he was the Elk of the Year for 1979-80. He owned Kelin's Body Shop for 45 years. Kelin was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; daughter, Lisa Eshelman of Sapulpa; step-son, Wilbur Ginn of Sapulpa; step-daughter, Vicki Burnett of San Antonio, TX; sister, Lillie Cook of Sapulpa; and six grandchildren.
