Mounds - Mr. Melvin E. Jones, 67, Mounds, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Arkansas, but lived most of his life in Mounds.

Mr. Jones married Faye Perkins on June 7, 1947.

He was a dairyman and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Mounds.

Survivors include wife Faye; son Melvin Jr. of Mounds; daughter Sharon McCaskill of Mounds; brother Nathaniel of Mounds; sister Edna Bacon of Sapulpa; and five grandchildren.
