MAUD, OKLA. - George Harold Jones, 85, of Maud, Okla., died July 30 at Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City.

Services were held Aug. 2 at the First Baptist Church of Maud. Burial was at Sunnyside Cemetery, Payson, Okla., under the direction of Knight Funeral Home, Maud.

Mr. Jones was born July 30, 1904, in Stephenville, Texas. He was an accountant for OG&E for many years and lived in the Sapulpa area until moving to Maud in 1988. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Sapulpa.

He married Lillian Alpha Taylor in Meeker, Okla., on June 24, 1923.

Survivors include wife Lillian; sons James H. Jones of Maud and W. D. "Buddy" Jones of Boerne, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
