Mr. William L. (Bill) Johnston, 46, of Route 2 died Wednesday in an accident southwest of Sapulpa.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday at South Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Ray officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnston was born March 16, 1942, in Tulsa. He was a captain with the Sapulpa Fire Department and a member of the Firefighters Union Local No. 183 and South Heights Baptist Church. He graduated from Mounds High School in 1960 and served in the Army.

He married Sharon Buttram Feb 22, 1963, at the Pickett Prairie Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Sharon; mother Dorothy Johnston of Mounds; daughters Alethea Sue Norris and Michelle Lyn Johnston, both at home; brother Mike Johnston of Mounds; sister Annetta Wynn of Tulsa and one grandson.
