Mr. Lorenza R. Johnston, 79, of 2029 S. Cedar died Monday at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe C. Knowles officiating.

Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnston was born June 6, 1909, in Prosperity, MO and had lived in Sapulpa since 1929.

He was a retired pipe fitter for Piping Engineering Co. of Tulsa. He served in the Marines during World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Past Grand of the I.O.O.F.Lodge.

Survivors include son J. R. of Broken Arrow; daughter Alice Lutz of Tulsa; and two grandsons.
