Lynn B. Hurt, 79, died Friday in Sand Springs.

Services are scheduled to be 10 am Friday at the Bethel Baptist Temple in Tulsa with Rev. Wadie Smith officiating.

Burial is to follow at Memorial Park [Cemetery] under the direction of Christian-Gavlik Funeral Home.

Hurt was born Aug. 17, 1914 to James Hollis and Anna Blankenship Hurt in Morris. He attended Narcisse School in Morris and married Daisy Castil on Aug. 26, 1937 in Bristow. He served in the Army in World War II and lived in Okmulgee before moving to Sapulpa in 1943. He moved to Tulsa then to Broken Arrow in 1969 and worked for the Frisco Railroad for 31 years and retired in 1977.

He is survived by sons Glenn Doyle Hurt of Tulsa, James Hollis Hurt of Mannford and Everett Dale Hurt of Ft Smith, AR; sisters Allie B. McKay and Alma McKay, both of Okmulgee and one half-sister Mary Edmond of Glenpool.
