Sidney R. Hurt, 73, Mannford, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday at Freedom Hill Baptist Church on SH 48 with the Rev. Jim Peter officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

He was born Aug 7, 1916, in Arkansas.

Mr. Hurt retired in 1969 from Bartlett Collins Glass Company after 31 years with the company, was a member of the Freedom Hill Baptist Church and was a deacon in the church.

He and his wife Edith were the former owners and operators of the Hurt Grocery Store.

Survivors include wife Edith of the home; son Carroll Hurt of Mannford; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
