Dorothy Leona Hughes, 90, beloved mother, grandmother
and great-grandmother, died Monday, June 19, 2006.

She was born June 24,1915 in Weleeka, Okla. to Joe Wheeler Bullock and Effie Smith Bullock.

Mrs. Hughes was dedicated to family activities that included golfing, fishing and a million ball games. She played with The Kitchen Kats and the bunko squad.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold Hughes; her son, Ronald Hughes; and five siblings.

She is survived by: one daughter, Joan Hughes, of Winchester of Grand Terrace, Calif.; three sons, Gale Hughes, of Bristow, Alan Hughes, of Owasso, and Randy Hughes, of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Pete Bullock, of Kellyville, Nadine Thoos Maynard, of Sapulpa, and Mildred Ginnis, of Ada.

Memorial services for Mrs. Hughes have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2,, 2006 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Larremore officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the South Heights Cemetery.
