Mr. James S. Houston, 71, 41 South Cedar died Sunday at Hillcrest Medical Center
at Tulsa.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with the Revs.
Archie Rivers. Paul Nichols and Mike Napier officiating.
Burial will be at Green Hill Memorial
Garden under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
He was born March 31, 1913 in Little Kansas, Okla. Moved to Sapulpa from Bristow
26 years ago. Mr. Houston was employed as a mechanic for American Airlines for
20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife, Erlene; sons; Arthur Houston of Sapulpa and James S.
Houston Jr, of Coweta and daughter Mrs. Dale STONE [Saundra E.] of Sapulpa;
brothers; Victor Houston of Bristow, Dan Houston of Cockeel, Oregon and Herbert
Houston, Sapulpa. Sisters; Edith FISHER of Warren, Penn. Hazel MCCOWEN of
Calemeia, Cal. and Bonnie LANCE of Bakersfield, Cal. 10 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

Services for James S. Houston were held today at the First Baptist Church with
the Revs. Archie Rivers, Paul Nichols and Mike Napier officiating.
Burial was at Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the directions of the Smith
Funeral Home.
Casket bearers were Bryan Stone, Scott Stone, Kerry Stone, Matt Stone, Mike and
Gene Houston.
