Cecil Henry Hodges, 85, of Stroud died Monday in Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Stroud with Rev. Berl Macky officiating. The body will lie in state at the church Thursday from 9 am until the service begins.

Burial will follow at Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes.

Hodges was born Oct 27, 1907, in Red Star, AR. He married Frances J. ROUNDTREE. An employee of Mobil Oil Company from 1936 to 1973, he retired as a foreman. He worked in Oklahoma, Texas and Illinois. Hodges resided in Stroud for 30 years before moving to Tulsa in 1992. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud and served on the board of deacons. He served as president of the Mobil Union and organized the union in Illinois. Hodges was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Stroud and was a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Frances; daughters, Carolyn J. Hodges of Tulsa and Charla J. ZENKER of Melairie, LA; sisters Vesta ROYER, Velma HODGES and Jessie ALEXANDER, all of Stroud; and four grandsons.

Funeral services for Cecil Hodges were held at 2 pm today at the Stroud First Baptist Church with Rev. Berl Macky officiating.

Burial followed at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Mark Gardner, Samuel Gardner, John Zenler, Joseph Zenler, Ronnie Hodge, Charles Hodge, Jimmy Hodge and Patrick Hodge.
