John Bryce Hickey, Jr., 72 Sapulpa, died today at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services will be Monday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from Meadow Gold. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Sapulpa Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife, Nell, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Pinkston, Ramona; a sister, Doris Henry Beck, Sapulpa; two brothers, Max Hickey, Spring, Texas, and Bill Hickey, Eagle Pass, Texas; and two granddaughters.

John Bryce Hickey, Jr., 74 Sapulpa, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services will Monday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was born Feb. 7, 1921 in Pretty Water to Bryce and Ada Hickey, and had been a resident of the Sapulpa area all of his life.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from Meadow Gold. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a life-time member of the Sapulpa Historical Society.

Hickey also was an avid fisherman and liked playing cards. In high school he played shortstop on the baseball team. He was a bowler and a member of the Latestarters League at Sahma Lanes.

Survivors include his wife, Nell, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Pinkston, Ramona; a sister, Doris Henry Beck, Sapulpa; two brothers, Max Hickey, Spring, Texas, and Bill Hickey, Eagle Pass, Texas, and two granddaughters.

Services for John Bryce Hickey, Jr., were held this morning in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial was in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Casket bearers were Wayne Lynch, Kay Ward, Frank James, Frank Beck, David Goodman and Glen Goodman.

Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
