Charles Thomas Hayes 74, died Fri., Aug. 8, 2008, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Mr. Hayes was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Glenpool, Okla. to William Luther and Julia Elizabeth (Garrett) Hayes. He attended Bixby High School. He married the love of his life, Willia Dean Hayes on Aug. 10, 1952, in Bixby, Okla. He worked as an electrical engineer and before retiring he was employed by Dowell Chemical.

He was an Elder at his church: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved to talk to people about Jehovah's Kingdom. He was always available to anyone who needed a helping hand or just a friend. Charles was a devoted father to his family and a devoted husband to his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Julia Hayes; and two brothers: Norman Hugh Hayes and Lee Roy Hayes.

He is survived by his wife: Willia Hayes of Sapulpa, Okla.; his sister: Ramona Ruth Heath; his son: Steven Thomas Hayes and his wife, Marie; his daughter: Linda Sue Whitehead and her husband, Frank; six grandchildren: Chad Thomas Hayes, Brian Lee Buckmaster, Betsy Sulynn Buckmaster, Brittney Whitehead, Christie Clour, Shawnda Nichols; six great-grandchildren: Grady Kent Thomas Hayes, Eileen Marie Hayes, Jessica Lynn Buckmaster, Rachel Ann Buckmaster, Arayah June Hayes and Christopher Ryan Buckmaster.

Visitation was Sun., Aug. 10, 2008, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, Glenpool, Okla. Funeral services were Mon., Aug. 11, 2008, at 6 p.m. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1123 Brenner Road, Sapulpa, Okla. Mr. John Pfannkuche officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rosencutter Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: John McNeil, Ken Barnhart, Chuck Trimble, Nick Carson, Mike Hildreth and J. D. Sellers.

Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service and Cremation Care.
