Otto James Harkins, 64, 1311 E. Cleveland, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Partridge officiating.

Burial will follow at Bristow City Cemetery.

Mr. Harkins was born Aug 10, 1922, in Drumright, and lived in Sapulpa since 1974 after moving here from California. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Carpenters Union Local #2435.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion, where he was past Post Commander and the past District Commander.

Survivors include son Brian Harkins of California; daughter Andeline Conn of Brownfield, Texas; brothers Melvin Harkins of Sapulpa, George Harkins of Arizona, and Ralph and Stanley Harkins, both of California; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Otto Harkins were today in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Partridge officiating.

Burial followed in the Bristow City Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Clarence Borwn, Leonard Degraffenreed, Walter McDonald, Harold Frazie, Tommie Williams and Lyle Perry.

Honorary casketbearer was Bob Logan.

Military rites were performed graveside by Sapulpa veterans organizations. Harkins was Commander of American Legion Post 197 in Kellyville.

A survivor not previously listed is Anna O. Harkins, Mr. Harkins mother.
